Your Session Experience
Every session begins with a story.
My goal is to capture your dog in a way that feels real and true to who they are in a place they enjoy — whether that be romping on the beach, a quiet forest trail, or a mountain top. If your dog won't naturally pose in front of the camera, that's ok! Some of the best pictures come from those that are candid.
Before we meet, I will send you a little questionnaire to get to know your dog — their favourite places, their quirks, and what they love (and don't!).
I then take this and begin working with you to plan your session. I take into account the season, light, weather, and more. If your dog hates the rain, let's plan for a drier month.

Hello! Nice to meet you – I'm Robyn.
... It all started with a camera and a dog...
I first discovered photography in my high school film class, where I’d bring home old film cameras and spend afternoons taking pictures of our family dog, Koda. Watching those images come to life in the darkroom felt like magic.
Years later, with a new camera and dogs of my own, I found myself reaching for it more and more—in the mountains, at the beach, and on every little adventure in between. I wanted to hold onto the little things that make life with dogs so special.
What began as a way to capture our memories has grown into a passion for doing the same for others. Photographs that make you smile, feel, and return to a moment you never want to lose.
Because life with dogs moves fast—and the memories we make with them deserve to stay.
FAQ
Do you travel for photoshoots?
Most sessions take place around the Lower Mainland of BC — but I’m always up for an adventure. Travel within 50 km of Surrey is included; anything beyond that may incur a travel fee. I also make it out to the East Kootenays once or twice a year and love planning sessions while I’m there. Have a favourite spot in mind? Let’s talk about it!
Will you work with nervous, reactive, or fearful dogs?
Absolutely. I have plenty of experience working with nervous, fearful, and reactive dogs. While Ridgebacks are my breed, I’ve spent more than 17 years working with a wide range of dogs — from shelter rescues to my own reactive girl, Gemma — each with their own quirks and comfort levels.
Every session is built entirely around your dog’s needs — from location to giving them the time and space to settle in. My approach is calm, patient, and flexible so your dog feels safe, relaxed, and understood. Their well-being always comes first!
What if my dog can't be off leash?
Not a problem at all! I always bring a thin leash (with 10, 15 or 30 foot options) which is easy to edit out in post-processing, making it look like the dog is off-leash. If your dog, besides not being able to walk off-leash, also has difficulty interacting with other dogs, please let me know in advance so we can take that into account when choosing a location.
What should I bring to a photo shoot?
I recommend you bring some of their favourite items such as treats or toys. Please also make sure you bring a leash.
How many dogs are allowed?
Coming from a family of 5 dogs, I understand wanting to get a picture of them all! I include 2 dogs from the same household in my base price. If you have a bigger pack and would like to bring them I am happy to accommodate – please reach out for more info!
